A canteen of kings pattern silver plated cutlery for 12 marked EPNS A1 Sheffield England. There are 76 pieces fitted into two six- setting wooden canteen boxes. All pieces are by the same maker, although these were obviously two canteens of six bought at different times. There are fractional differences in the shape of the dessert knife blades, and the arch of the soup and dessert spoons, and six table forks are fractionally longer. None of this will notice when they are on the table. All pieces are in good condition, some minor marks on one dinner fork and two dessert forks, and heavier marks in two dessert spoons. Two tablespoons show wear. A very useful and highly decorative set.
