Condition: very good - the russet-coloured boards are in good condition, endpapers clean except for a short pen dedication, certain pages are affected by an even scattered foxing effect in the margins, which appears to be due to printing offset, with the majority of the pages being totally clean. The dust-jacket is in good condition, spine faded, edges chipped, not price-clipped, flaps yellowed, and the original CNA sticker affixed at the bottom centre of the rear panel.

This novella has seen a huge resurgence in popularity and collectability since the release of a film version in late 2023.

 occurred in Raynham Hangar Studios in April 2022. In December 2022, it was announced that the film was "completed."
