Large solid silver serving spoon by Cape silversmith Johannes Combrink. Hy was one of the most influential and well-regarded silversmiths in the Cape Colony, active from 1814 to 1853, working in Dorp Street. This rare spoon has the fiddle handle design, with personalised engraved initials JAM on it. The makers stamp IC is clear, with two shell stamps on both sides.
