Capodimonte Italy Style Romantic Elderly Couple Figurine

Capodimonte Italy Style Romantic Elderly Couple Figurine

A finely detailed Italian Capodimonte style porcelain figurine depicting an elderly couple seated closely together on a stone bench in a tender, nostalgic scene. The lady leans affectionately into the gentleman, who gently holds a small bird, capturing a warm and sentimental moment. The piece bears the crowned N mark associated with Capodimonte style porcelain from the Naples region of Italy. While not from the original 18th century Royal factory, this example was produced in Italy in the late 20th century, most likely 1970s to 1990s, by one of the established Neapolitan workshops continuing the Capodimonte tradition.

The hand painted detailing is soft and expressive, with delicate facial features, textured clothing, naturalistic stone base decoration and gilt edging. The muted palette of warm browns, soft pinks and subtle shading is typical of later Italian decorative Capodimonte style porcelain. The base is finished with gilt trim and protective felt pads.

Size 18 x 16 x 18 cm

Condition
Top of the gentlemans smoking pipe is broken off. Otherwise good display condition with no major structural cracks observed. Minor base wear consistent with age.
