"Captain America: The First Avenger" is a 2011 superhero film that tells the origin story of Steve Rogers, who transforms from a frail young man into the super-soldier Captain America during World War II.
Set during World War II, the film follows Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans), a scrawny but determined young man from Brooklyn who is repeatedly rejected for military service due to his physical limitations. His unwavering spirit catches the attention of Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci), who recruits him for a secret government project known as Project Rebirth. This project aims to create super-soldiers using a special serum.
After undergoing the transformation, Steve becomes Captain America, a symbol of hope and strength. However, shortly after his transformation, Dr. Erskine is assassinated by a Nazi spy, leaving Steve as the only successful test subject. Initially used as a propaganda tool to sell war bonds, Steve eventually takes matters into his own hands when he learns that his friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and other soldiers have been captured by the Hydra organization, led by the villainous Johann Schmidt, also known as the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
