Hi up for grabs are my extremely rare 1944 Captain Midnight no.37 Comic from the Golden age of comic books during World War 2. Captain Midnight was published by Fawcett Comics, the same publishers (who published Captain Marvel, seen i this comics advertsied) & later got his very own serial show on the big screen. This comic itself takes place during WW2 when the USA were fghting the Japanese. Captain Midnight is a flying, bullet bouncing super-hero who looks just like his competiton at the time ie: Superman by DC Comics. The Japanese in this comic are racially depicted as evil buck-toothed villains. Even their skin is different to the Americans as they are bright mustard yellow. This comic today is impossible to find. Not only in South Africa but in the USA as well! How it got here.... I dont know but can ony presume it was brought back by a local service man after his tour in WW2. Book value of these according to my 1994 comic price guide is 180!!! This comic is in pretty good condition with no tears in any of the pages and is still tightly attached to the spine. It has a little bit of damage on the bottom of the cover on the edge - but nothing to bad. A piece of history depicting the WW2 this 68 year old comic is a sure COLLECTORS ITEM! Please keep a look out for all my other SUPERHERO & SCI-FI & MOVIE related toys ranging from 1980 - 2005 that I have up on bidorbuy.co.za . Thanks & Good Luck Marc - gothem
