A captivating piece.
In what appears to be an ink etching of sorts, with a color wash over it. The subject matter is so unusual, the quality so striking, and the detail so skillful, that the image draws one in again and again. Clean and crisp, this piece will shine in the appropriate setting.
The framing is pristine, and measures 47cm wide by 41cm high. No work needed. Hang and enjoy!
The signature is Michelle de Villiers (presumably South African). There is a middle name in the signature, but it is indecipherable. There piece is also not dated.
Further information about the artist and/or the piece would be most welcome. I bought it because I liked it so much, and have not been able to glean any more about it.
