All first edition publications, NOT A MODERN REISSUE! Very collectible. New spine and title printed on original label. Repaired book boards at corner.

1. Carl Mauch's Reisen im Inneren von Sud-Afrika 1865-1872. Gotha: Justus Perthes 1874.

Karl Gottlieb Mauch (7 May 1837 4 April 1875) was a German explorer and geographer of Africa. He reported on the archaeological ruins of Great Zimbabwe in 1871 during his search for the biblical land of  Ophir, five years after discovering the first gold mines in the Transvaal.
