Carlton ware, serving dish made in 1960

 

Stunning Carlton ware made in 1960.

It is beautifully detailed with high contrasted colours and excellent quality.

The piece is an elongated dish with flowing lines and has superimposed hand painted purple hollyhocks, with realistic leafs and tendrils.  Soft featherlike leaves accentuate the borders and flow of the dish.

This is an Australian designed piece of Carlton Ware.

It is in mint condition.  It has the Carlton Ware backstamp reading:  Carlton Ware, Handpainted, Made in England, Trademark Registered Australian Design
