Two French Cristalleries de Nancy Art Glass - Tangerine aperitif decanter bottles raised Art Deco cameo flower panels c.1922
They are both in excellent antique condition.
In 1920, five businessmen from Nancy created a new crystal factory in Nancy, located at 88 Faubourg St Georges, opposite Daum. The crystal factory recruited nearly 600 people, including Auguste Houillon as artistic director. This crystal factory specialized in the manufacture of cut crystal bottles for luxury perfumery, and many crystal pieces, colorless or doubled with color, such as vases, toilet sets, tableware, carafes, etc.Awarded at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925, the company exported its pieces all over the world. After the disastrous effects of the economic crisis of 1929, production gradually declined until it stopped completely in 1935.
Truncated conical carafe in crystal then acid-etched, with champlevé engraving, decorated with a frieze of wild flowers.
