The delightful, interesting and inspiring biography of an important figure in maritime history, Nathaniel Bowditch, a navigator. After being sold to apprenticeship for seven years at the age of ten, Nat continually takes every opportunity to seek knowledge and understanding. He suffers many sad trials through his life.
