THIS IS THE 2nd LOT/SET OF ALFRED MEAKIN ASTORIA DESIGN CASCADIA PATTERN ITEMS LISTED

THE CASCADIA PATTERN WAS RELEASED BY ALFRED MEAKIN , TUNSTALL DURING THE 1930's AND DISPLAYS A LOVELY BRIGHT MULTICOLOR FLORAL PATTERN WITH AN EMBOSSED DETAIL UPON A 18ct GOLD TRIM SCALLOPED RIM. THE SHAPE/DESIGN OF THE PLATES & BOWLS IN THIS LOT ARE CLASSICALLY KNOWN AS ASTORIA.

ALTHOUGH THIS PATTERN (NOT THE DESIGN) WAS DISCONTINUED BY ALFRED MEAKIN DURING THE 1940's IT WAS ONE OF THE PATTERNS WHICH BECAME PART OF THE CHURCHILL GROUP IN 1976. ALFRED MEAKIN OPERATED FROM 1875 AT THE ROYAL ALBERT, VICTORIA AND HIGHGATE POTTERIES IN TUNSTALL

2)- BREAD & BUTTER PLATES EACH - 1.2cm HEIGHT.....9cm DIAMETER OF BASE.....17.8cm DIAMETER OF RIM
