This is a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of South African history.

The 1964 Castle Lager Jazz Festival was arranged by Union Artists and attracted a crowd of 40 000 jazz lovers at Orlando Stadium on 26 September 1964.

The Malombo Men with renowned musician Philip Thabane and the Early Mabuza Quartet with E. Mabuza entertained the crowd with their skill.

You can also hear Philip Thabane talking to his guitar if you listen closely.

What we have here are the "record mothers"  or "acetates" or original negatives from EMI which were used to make the stampers for the vinyl records and they play very well.

We are selling two covers and two "record mothers" for side 1. and side 2.
