This inventive and refreshing version of the world-renowned original game, Settlers of Catan, is a wonderful introduction to the Catan series, that gives both children and adults the chance to sail the high seas together, in search of hideouts and precious island resources.

In Catan Junior, 2 to 4 players as young as 6 years old compete as pirates sailing the high seas, establishing hideouts and amassing a fleet of ships amidst a ring of remote islands. Each player starts the game with two pirate hideouts, and the goal is to build a network of hideouts across the various islands. The more hideouts you build, the more resources you can receive from the islands, such as goats, molasses, wood, and even gold. Use your resources to build more ships and head out to the seas to discover yet another hideout! The first player to build 7 hideouts wins the game.

Catan Junior is for families with children ages 6-9. Simplified building rules, child-oriented trading, and a more innocuous robber equivalent called the Ghost Captain provide access to the world of CATAN games.
