The jacket is whole, with wear and chips to edges, and is protected in a plastic sleeve that is taped to the jacket, leaving tape marks. Bookplate of Stuart Macpherson, past president of the Mountain Club of South Africa pasted to inside front board. Several pages remain joined at the bottom corners. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
