Book condition- Hardcover in good condition. Content is clean. Binding sound. Top edge gilt. Light foxing to the edges. Mild wear and scratching to the cover boards. Original decorated gilt spine and boards. Spine gilt still very bright with title and decoration of an elephant. The front board has a gilt facsimile signature of Rhodes and blindstamped decoration. Frontispiece portrait of Rhodes still has its tissue paper. All eight other contemporary photograph full page illustrations also present.
