Cecil Skotnes carved and incised double sided woodblock

This woodblock carved by Cecil Skotnes to make his prints with came from the artists personal collection and was given after his death as a gift by Pippa Skotnes to the original owner whome I bought it from.
This woodblock was made to print with and was never sold by the artist unlike his other signed blocks that were made as artworks to be sold.
A few of these unsigned woodblocks were sold by Strauss & Co on 23 May 2016 for between R28 000 - R43 000
