This woodblock carved by Cecil Skotnes to make his prints with came from the artists personal collection and was given after his death as a gift by Pippa Skotnes to the original owner whom I bought it from.

This woodblock was made to print with and was never sold by the artist unlike his other signed blocks that were made as artworks to be sold. 

A few of these unsigned woodblocks were sold by Strauss & Co on 23 May 2016 for between R28 000 - R43 000
