VINTAGE CAMEO CREATION PORTRAIT OF CECILE VOLAGE by J.B GREUZE - ORNATE GOLD MELAMINE FRAME WITH BUBBLE GLASS AND BURGUNDY VELVET INLAY

A VERY RARE item created from the 1940's to the 1960's. The Cameo images were of well-known portraits of the 18th and 19th centuries. This one features CECILE VOLAGE done by J.B GREUZE as the label at the back indicates.

JB GREUZE -- JEAN BAPTISTE GREUZE (21 Aug 1725 - 4 March 1805) was a French Painter of Portraits, Genre Scenes and History Paintings.

A BEAUTIFUL and DETAILED Gold (antique bronze color) Melamine Frame with a DELICATE Burgundy Velvet Inlay. The Portrait itself is a cameo covered with Bubble Glass (convex - Fish eye)

Two Gold labels at the back - One -- "A Cameo Creation"     the other -- "CECILE VOLAGE by JB GREUZE"

The frame has a Board back which has a brass clip/hook so that it may be hung up

PERFECT condition to the Frame as well as the Glass with NO chips, cracks, damages or breakages
