Celandine Steve Augarde 2005 First British Edition / First Printing Hardcover
Second-hand hardcover in very good condition. Purple hard boards are well preserved with attractive gold gilt lettering to the spine.
The original illustrated dust jacket is in fair condition, showing considerable age-related wear, including scuffing, foxing, edge wear, creasing and tears.
There is noticeable foxing throughout the book, including the preliminary pages and page margins. Despite the foxing, the book remains fully readable and the black-and-white illustrations are clear. Binding is intact and sound.
Please refer carefully to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.

Celandine is the second book in Steve Augarde's acclaimed Touchstone Trilogy, following The Various.
Set in Britain in 1915, Celandine is unhappy at boarding school, where she is bullied and accused of being a witch. Haunted by the loss of her brother, she runs away to a secret world inhabited by the little people. But life among the Various is no less dangerous than the world she has left behind.
An extraordinary sequel that blends fantasy, adventure and real-life history, complemented by Augarde's atmospheric black-and-white illustrations.
Steve Augarde is an award-winning British author and illustrator. The Various, the first book in the trilogy, was awarded a Smarties Bronze Award.
This is the 2005 First British Edition / First Printing, retaining its original illustrated dust jacket. A particularly interesting copy for a reader or collector who does not mind the significant age-related foxing.
