Celosia is a hardy Summer bedding annual that revels in hot sunny postions.

They succeed in almost any garden loam, but require plenty of sunlight.  The soil can be made moderately rich by the addition of rotted manure.  No special treatment is required. They are frost sensitive and should be sown during the Spring and Summer when the ground is warm.  Sow seeds in beds or permanent positions 6 mm deep and later space to 30 cm apart.  Water during dry weather, and feed with a balanced liquid manure toward flowering time.  Keep the surface weed free, but take care not to damage their root systems.
