This specific option is packaged for installers or property owners who are retrofitting an existing site or replacing an older unit, as it contains the core motor unit and two transmitters but does not include a new foundation plate, battery, or rack. Operating on a powerful 24V system, it provides domestic entry points with enhanced duty cycles, high security, and intelligent smartphone-based management while maintaining reliability during mains power failures.

This unit operates on a 24V DC motor, meaning it requires two 12V backup batteries connected in series to run. It will not power up or operate with a single 12V battery.
The D5 SMART mechanical mounting footprint is backward-compatible with older Centurion D3, D5, and D5-Evo installations, allowing it to drop directly onto your existing base plate during an upgrade.
The internal logic controller features individually configurable inputs and outputs, allowing your installer to easily integrate auxiliary hardware such as external courtesy lights, a third-party intercom, or an outdoor security siren.
