A charming and vibrant CERAMIC miniature jug, authentically hand-painted in the Netherlands. Unlike the common blue-and-white variety, this piece is "Coloured Delft" (Polychrome), featuring a beautiful multi-colour floral motif in traditional shades of yellow, manganese, and green.
The jug has a classic tapered form with a delicate handle and is a fine example of Dutch pottery heritage. The "Meerkleurig" (multi-coloured) style was developed to compete with Far Eastern porcelain and remains a highly collectable branch of the Delftware tradition.
