Ceremonial Kukri Machette Decorated Ebony Handle and Etching on the Blade With hard Leather Sheath.

Ceremonial Gurkha Kukhuri 13" engraved Blade, Handle of additional 5" Hardened Leather Sheath. Two miniature Kukhuris included. Presented by the regiment leader of the Nepalese Gurkhas, as a "parting" gift, to my father upon him and his Batalion leaving Malaya with the Kings African Rifles in 1957.  Chrome plated and engraved. There was a custom held dear by the Gurkhas, that should they be required to present thier weapon for scrutiny only, they would still cut a finger because it was custom to draw blood once the weapon was drawn.
