Ceremonial sword in pristine condition. Scabbard tip at the bottom has unfortunately snapped, looks like leather & wood. Blade approximately 800mm long.

Unsure of the usage, but think this was being used for parades (military/police), as it is stamped with the old Republic of South African coat of arms on one side, and stamped numbered "4244 - WKC Solingen Germany" on the other side.

Since 1883, Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. (WKC), has been manufacturing military swords
