INFORMATION
The Certina DS Furious is a retro grade chronograph model with a youthful edge. Cut along a distinctly extreme-sport orientation, the new DS Furious strikes a note of high modernity through a design that is both daring and technocentric, in which the brilliant interplay of textures and surfaces is instantly noticeable.
Its satin-finished watch case is equipped with a black PVD bezel, and its carbon-fibre dial scores a spirited geometric composition along the lines of motorsport cockpit dashboards.
The chronograph timing pointers run in an original, reverse direction and reset once their cycle has completed. The 30-second indicator runs along a 180-degree counterclockwise arc, while the 5-minute indicator follows its own 120-degree semicircle.
The 60-minute counter runs a graduated course in a clockwise direction through 144 degrees, to complete this brilliant show of technicality and verve. The crown is protected by two solid projections on the case, and sports a small bright orange rubber knob on its end. The chrono systems two push buttons feature a clever black PVD detail along the side, for visual balance.
Owing to an imaginative lengthwise slotting of their surface and their brilliant pointers, the hour and minute hands make clear the uncompromisingly sporty orientation of the DS Furious.
