Chaka's Rock Chalets is the ideal spot for spending some time away from your daily routine, located on a peaceful hill in the small seaside village of Shaka’s Rock, just off the beaten holiday track from Ballito, Umhlanga and Durban. Shaka’s Rock is named for the rocky outcrop along the coast, which is believed to have been used by King Shaka either as a lookout or to test the bravery of his men. Today the site is better known as a surfing spot and fishing spot, and is the scene of some exciting launches and landings as these powerful machines go about their day’s endeavours. The 1, 2 and 3-bedroom chalets feature garden or sea views, fully equipped kitchens, televisions, and either a private braai area for relaxing after a fun-filled day, or easy access to the communal resort braai area. Fully self-contained, the chalets sleep from 4 to 8 people with a double bed in the main bedroom and single beds and sleeper couches to make up the balance. The sleeper couches are suitable for children under 12 years old only. All the chalets feature covered, or open secure parking.
