Fun project to learn about how canbus system works and instrument cluster functions. e.g. Can show true battery level for aftermarket battery upgrades on electric vehicles.

Not intended to wind back mileage or mislead people.

How it works on for BMW: After you have finished editing mileage in the emulator, you can place CAN filter in the instrument cluster, or in the CAS, FEM, BDC.

How it works on for Mercedes-for Benz: After you have finished editing mileage in the emulator, connect CAN filter between the dashboard and the plug of instrument cluster.

No need to modify any data in any other control units, when the car started, the CAN filter will block the mile information in the ECU from exchanging with the instrument cluster, the mileage displayed in the odo will be the new numbers you altered.
