Oil painting on blocked canvas
Danie Cronje is a South African artist. His oil paintings and pastel drawings were featured in the Ffiago Art Gallery as well as the Garden Route Art Gallery and George Museum Gallery. One of his sketches appeared in a national magazine (Huisgenoot) when he was 12 years old. His cartoon strips are also used in school textbooks by three publishers since 2013. He was illustrator for books about army life in 1986 and his cartoons appeared in a national newspaper from 1987 to 1989. Since 2004 he specialises in portraits and the female figure. He does not do erotic art though.
In 2021 he was awarded a merit award for 3rd prize in an annual competition by SCAVA (South Cape Association for Visual Arts).
