FRANK ROSS  - ACRYLIC ON CARVED WOOD PANEL AND MIXED MEDIA

                                                                                        (660cm x 300cm)

Frank Ross was born in Wellington South Africa. His works are peopled with the folk of the Boland.

In this piece a, more decorative approach to art making is used ,and  Frank describes his subject in a regular, finely incised line on Supa wood panels, painted in vibrant colour. The quick dry time of acrylic allows him to paint clear-cut edges, strongly contrasting shades and dense surface texture.

Frank has had two solo exhibitions and has taken part in numerous group exhibitions in South Africa. His works form part of corporate collections, such as the SA National Treasury and The  Fedsure Group , and prestigious private collections such  as Barbara Lindop, Robin Luce.
