ANTIQUE POCKET SIZE EDITION OF CHARLES DICKENS " A TALE OF TWO CITIES" 1923

This edition dates back to 1923 and is edited with introductions and notes HUBER GRAY BUEHLER and LAWRENCE MASON printed by the Macmillan Company in pocket size edition. This book measures 12 cm x 15 cm.

There are no inscriptions and the content is bright and clean. This edition is bound in the original brown cloth and the front board is embossed with an Art Nouveau motif.

The cloth over the spine is loose at one joint and as you can see in the picture the brown cloth shows signs of wear from shelf rubbing and age. But there are no age spots on the pages.

The binding is a little bit shaky and some pages show exposed stitches. It has a black and white frontispieces showing Gadshill Place where Dickens lived.

The corners are a little bit bumped and the head and the foot of the spine are rubbed.

The title is written in gilt lettering on the front board. This is a lovely old edition of a famous author 86 years of age.
