A quality matching pair of George V antique sterling silver and solid oak backed oval photograph frames of timeless plain polished form and with easel back.
The small frame measuring 10 cm x 7 cm (to fit a photo of 9 cm x 5 cm), clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1916 with the maker's mark of Charles Edwin Turner. Has English silver hallmarks of maker's mark C.E.T., anchor town mark, lion passant silver mark, and date letter "r" that makes for the following identification: Charles Edwin Turner, City of Birmingham, Sterling .925, Year 1916. Sans glass, so requires a new glass insert. An item with a history. Has a slight indentation at the bottom of the silver frame measuring 1.5 cm and two pinholes consistent with age and use. The sheet silver is missing two pins out of four with which frame is pinned onto wood, but still high quality and easily fixable piece of first-half 20th century English antique silver. It has an oak back stand in excellent condition which works perfectly.
The large frame measuring 16 cm x 12 cm, not marked. The inner section pulls apart and can hold a photograph of 13 cm x 9.5 cm. Has an impressive lacquered easel stand with mahogany color that is slightly worn on the back and the edges, as expected of authentic antiques with normal signs of wear from age. A lovely piece of silver in amazingly near pristine condition that was clearly loved and respected, with no damages from use and the original glass panel is intact. In perfect functional order and ready to be used.
The photo, glass and solid wood backs are all held in place by fold out clips.

- SA Post Office insured parcel: delivery within +/-7 business days to a PO Box or street address, collect your parcel at the closest Post Office branch.
- Aramex express courier: delivery to your door the next business day after dispatch, Monday to Friday, and will require a signature from the receiver. Outlying areas will incur additional turn around time. Please provide a physical address (home or work), PO Boxes are not accepted. There is no insurance for this Aramex service due to legal limitations. This service costs a flat fee of R100. Please add any remaining amount to the balance during checkout so that delivery totals R100.
