2 x 5 Micron Sediment Water Filter Cartridge

This professional grade sediment removal filter removes large particulate matter from the water bigger than 5 Microns
which includes rust, mud, sand , leaf particles etc.

In most units these need to be checked every 3-6 months and replaced if necessary . (That is why we have 2 in this pack )

It is imperative that the center core of the filter remains a cream / white colour and does not become clogged,
or worse still contaminate the next filter in line.

This inexpensive filter can be replaced regularly as required thus prolonging the life of your Water Filter System

1 x Activated Carbon Water Filter Cartridge

This is the workhorse of most filter systems and is particularly good at removing odours, tastes, and a wide variety of chemicals.
Organic, non-polar substances such as: mineral oil, BTEX , poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PACs), (Chloride) phenol;
halogenated substances such as: I, Br, Cl, H and F yeasts and various fermentation products.

The carbon is "activated" by heat during production opening up a myriad of fissures in the granules and its these fissures that trap the contaminats in the water as they flow through the filter.

NB ***
a.) Because carbon needs time to remove the contaminants its a good idea to have a pressure reducer before small filters

b.) If the carbon filters are not replaced after regular use the fissures become blocked and release the contaminants back into the water when they become saturated thus nullifying the filter entirely. For your health change your activated carbon filters within 12 months . This applies to all domestic systems

This carbon block contains condensed powder version of activated carbon and its removal powers are excellent for taste and odours . discolouration, Volatile Organic compounds a range of herbicides and pesticides and chlorine

This is the cylindrical sealed filter n the top of most standard Reverse Osmosis systems and contains a high grade carbon from coconut trees . In addition to removing tastes and odours it also adds a slight lightness and sweetness to the purified water making the water easy to drink , enjoyable and satisfying.
