CHERVIL COMMON

BULK PACK APPROX 1800 SEEDS

BOTANICAL NAME:  ANTHRISCUS CEREFOLIUM

The fern-like plants can grow up to 40 -  70 cm.  A delicate herb, often described as "gourmet parsely", used to season a variety of dishes, from omelettes, seafood, salads, soups, meats and poultry.  A truly versatile culinary herb.

Medicinally, Chervil is said to be a blood purifer, a digestive aid, and lowers the blood pressure.  *If you have a serious medical problem, always first consult a medical professional before trying to use herbs.

CULTIVATION:  Sow in Autumn to Winter.  A reasonably fast growing plant.  Winter plantings:  sunny position.   Summer planting:  in semi-shade

Chervil will grow in most soil types, but needs a well draining soil, and water on a regular basis.  Space plants about 30 cm apart.  Plant direct in the soil, or transplant.  When transplanting, take care not to damage the tap root, as this could encourage the plant to bolt.

Once the plant is established,  2 - 3 months, harvest leaves regularly.
