Mihail Marin (born 21 April 1965) is a Romanian chess player and writer. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE. GM Mihail Marin is a noted author who wrote Secrets of Chess Defence (Gambit Publications, 2003), Secrets of Attacking Chess (Gambit Publications, 2005), Learn from the Legends: Chess Champions at Their Best (Quality Chess, 2004) and The English Opening vol. 1-3 (Quality Press, 2009-2010), among others. He was Romanian champion in 1988, 1994 and 1999 and has played for Romania in 12 Olympiads.
