This Chiltern was bought in 1934 and is typical of the earlier Chilterns with the longer, more slender legs. I have done the absolute minimum restoration to him. His nose stitching is original. I did not replace the odd stitches he had lost; I believe it gives him character. One of the up-stitches to his nose is in place, the other one he lost. One of his cotton pads had a hole in it. I reinforced it from the inside and left the original in place. His mohair covering is very good. He stands 36 cm tall. Please note I have included the last photograph simply to show the difference in size between him and the other Chiltern bear of roughly the same period that I have also listed, and this auction is for the smaller bear and not for the large bruiser. Please add R35 for postage.
