Chinese ancient jade human-shaped pendant. The base tone of the jade is pale bluish-white, and large areas of its surface are permeated by reddish-brown patina that penetrates into the texture with natural and soft color gradations. Simple intaglio lines delineate the facial features and body outline of the figure in a primitive and unadorned carving style. Multiple drilled holes are made on the piece for threading cords to wear it as a pendant. It has developed thick and smooth patina over years of wear, retaining traces of ancient hand carving.
