Chinese Silver Photo Frame

Chinese  silver photo frame by Hung Chong company which existed from approximately 1860 to 1930 and was active in Shanghai and Canton. My guess would be around the 1890.

Its dimensions are approx 18cm by 13cm so it can fit the standard photo size perfectly.

Heavy, classic, attractive and collectable bamboo pattern frame which can be completely detached from the wooden backing and the glass sheet. The glass sheet just drops in from the back and the solid wooden backing pushes in with a slight bit of friction to rest in place.

Unlike the British photo frames, this frame has weight and substance.

Very, very good age-appropriate condition and this old photo frame is ready to display your chosen photo.
