This is a three-legged court-hat ear bronze incense burner, a traditional Chinese censer modeled after the classic Xuande-style censers of the Ming Dynasty. It features a plump, rounded body with symmetrical upright court-hat-shaped handles and three rounded feet, giving it a dignified and balanced form. Made of copper, the surface has a smooth, aged patina with natural oxidation and wear from use. The base bears a single Xuan mark, a common simplified inscription found on later copies of Xuande censers, not an original Ming mark. Judging by its craftsmanship and patina, it is most likely a folk-made practical censer from the late Qing to the Republican period, dating back about 70150 years. It is suitable for burning stick or coil incense, or as a Zen-style decorative piece for a study.
