The benefaction of the Disciples of Christ in the USA to the College Commemorates Dr. Peter Ainslie, of Baltimore, a distinguished minister of their Communion, who was a firm supporter of the Oecumenical Movement. The first lecture was given by the Archbishop of Cape Town in 1949, and the second by the Rev. Dr. S. M. Berry in 1950.
