This chunky, solid piece has large, softly domed head with multi-coloured and multi-shaped stones. Crafted in sterling silver, with a flat, medium band, the polished shank forks low on the shoulders, branching into 6, with openwork between the strands, supporting the large cage-like structure that supports the ring head. Garnets, peridot, blue topaz, amethyst and citrines are set on elongated claws, in round-cut and oval shapes; the smaller oval stones measuring 5,8mm long x 4,1mm wide, the larger ovals: 8mm x 6,3mm and the round cut peridot: 4,1mm diameter. The colours are a positive Aladdin's Cave of jewels - deep, rich wine-reds against champagne yellows, lilac purples, icy blue-whites, and crisp, lime greens, with openwork below and between the gemstones maximising the amount of light that refracts through the jewels. They are Brazil, Pakistan and South Africa mined. The ring head measures 26,5 mm across x 24,2 mm wide, and is raised a splendid 9,8 mm above the finger. The ring bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver and weighs a very solid 10,25 grams. A large and gorgeous piece that will appeal to someone who loves their gemstones real!
