Part 1 provides a detailed background of Church Street, its beginnings, its inhabitants and its development till the end of the 19th century. Part 2 deals with the history of each house and the considerations taken which led to the finale restoration. A variety of photographs, sketches, plans as well as copies of documents from the Archives.
