Some one cared and loved this person enough to have the outside Initial Monogramed NCB + inside engraved with date 2.12.37 and it was obviously appreciated and well used 

I believe James Dixon &Son maker Anchor - Birmingham assey office Lion Passant - Sterling Silver  M 1936 - date  both sides stamp

NOT cleaned as some people prefer the patina to be real - but you can clean if you so choose
