This lot is for a Circa 1840 English cut crystal glass Scent / perfume bottle with non matching ( paired) stopper
Please see all photos for general condition and description A genuine piece BOTTLE glass is amazing in that it only has flea bite nicks and small stress areas, considering age its quite good no stains inside ( quite amazing).....However the silver around the neck has been repaired and was seriously damaged also the neck inside is cracked and chipped as is the case most of the time when one sees these bottles from the early part of the 1800's, still everything is sound and nothing is loose, the stopper bottom is badly chipped, One would need to take extra care when polishing the silver neck, it is not hallmarked but these really early bottles only had genuine solid silver necks un marked in the time ( please see yellow circle showing damaged area to the silver work) otherwise a fantastic piece, a non replica and not a re-make item.A lovely addition to your collection.This is the exact item you shall receive. The price would be triple if not more if these defects were in better condition, and if stopper matched, thanks for looking.
