A large and heavy Bible of 5.3 kilograms. 25 cm wide. 33 cm tall. 9 cm thick. On the outside written: Western Star Lodge. On the inside cover a programme attached: Western Star Lodge No. 1450, of Ancient Free and accepted Masons of Scotland. Programme of the erection, consecration and installation of the above lodge on Saturday August 5th 1950 in the Venterspost Municipal Hall. Next page a list of 27 foundation members and office bearers. Vrymesselary. Vrymesselaars. Two pages in Psalms are torn and corrected with sticky tape. A further two pages also in Solomons Songs. Lower part of the spine has a 4 cm crack happening.
