 EYE-CATCHING HANDCRAFTED LARGE CITRINE SOLITAIRE with RUBIES & EMERALD PENDANT ON STERLING SILVER AND TOURMALINE 'CHAIN'

This striking, heavy handcrafted piece is beautifully made. It is a seriously bold piece - the colours are amazing but beautifully earthy and natural as opposed to brash or over-the-top. The central focus of the necklace is a very large 28 carat rectangular faceted citrine solitaire that hangs vertically from a heavy solid sterling silver bale. The citrine gemstone has been particulalry well faceted with a cushion cut. It shows off the deepish yellow colour perfectly with lots of well faceted sparkle. The citrine is surrounded by round cut rich red natural rubies, interspersed with smaller round cut emeralds; all claw set in solid sterling silver. The whole pendant is a large and heavy 30 mm wide and stretches 42 mm longways. It is set into a solid sterlng structure, the emeralds and rubies set on the lower frame level and the citrine solitaire set so that it stands proud above the frame. Measured sideways, it is 14 mm wide. The beautiful earthy colours are carried on in the multi-faceted natural, matt tourmaline gemstones that have been strung together to form the "chain" part of the necklace. The tourmaline ends in a section of open-link sterling silver and attached to the lobster clasp closer. There is also an round amethyst gemstone bead on either side of the bale keeping the pendant in position on the necklace. The tormaline necklace part is 43cm long. The whole piece weighs a solid 28.04 grams, which ensures that it sits flat against the chest. It is a gorgeous collectable piece that has a distinctly rich and royal feel to it.
