VINTAGE DEEP YELLOW CITRINE STERLING SILVER RING. 925. WELL HALLMARKED!
This vintage piece is handcrafted in sterling silver, and bears a gorgeous deep yellow oval-faceted citrine set in elongated claws. The shank is narrow, forking vertically to support the 'cage' that holds the gemstone. The openwork underneath the gemstone allows the maximum light refraction through the gemstone. The ring head measures 14mm wide x 10mm long and is raised 6mm high above the finger with the extended claw setting. The piece weighs a solid 2,68 grams, bears a number of interesting vintage hallmarks - the jeweller's signature, the Birmingham Assay mark (British Assay) and the date 1975. There are buff marks in keeping with its 45 year old age. A lovely, classic design piece, with a strong, deep yellow colour.
