Hardcover third edition, 1949 reprint, published by Adam & Charles Black. The card jacket is worn and marked, with chips and short tears to edges, and surface insect damage in patches. The green cloth boards with gilt titling are lightly marked along edges, bumped in places, and slightly bowed. Apart from foxing and tanning to endpapers, the pages are clean and unmarked.
