Michal Gavac is one of a select few designers whose work is immediately recognizable at first glance. The knives are always characterized by unique blade styles and interesting handle shapes that usually taper toward the butt end in lieu of flaring out. They seem to take nothing from your conventional knife designs and instead go off on their own tangents. Mike also has a penchant for naming them after sharks and, if you look close enough (or less closely like a stereogram), they definitely resemble their namesakes. This Civivi-spiny Dogfish for example has the two spines from the dorsal fins represented by the two humps in the handle and the clipped reverse tanto blade tip is pretty spot on for the shark's head. It's a great size for everything and won't break the bank. We highly recommend it.
