This lovely hand pianted Clarice Cliff fruit vase, dating from the 1930's, has no visible damage or crazing and rings with a good clear sound. It measures 18 x 11 x 11cm

The background colour is beige with a delightful flowing vine like pattern in shades of green and brown. This is blended into the structure of the vase with impressed form and a wavy rim which creates a very pleasing organic design.

The vase, which would grace any table or collection, is clearly marked to the base "Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery" together with a number 833.

The number goes with the Chestnut design but all the ones I have found are a different colour.
